Teachers Oppose DCO Suggestion
Lahore :  September 22 : The Punjab Teachers Union has criticized the Lahore DCO’s suggestion to involve students in anti-beggary drive by asking them to stand at different Chowks in the city posing as beggars and then showing the public that they were not actually beggars.
According to a press release issued here Saturday, the PTU office bearers in a meeting held here at the Government Primary School, Shalimar, on Saturday claimed that the DCO had suggested this proposal a few days back. They claimed that the DCO had also announced prizes for teachers as well as for those students who would perform well in the anti-beggary campaign. They announced that they would not let this kind of thing to happen and allow their students to become a part of such campaign. They suggested the officials concerned to think seriously on such issues before involving students.The news.
