UK educational counseling day at Government College University Lahore
LAHORE: The Career Guidance and Placement Centre of Government College University Lahore organized a "UK Education Counseling Day" in collaboration with the British Council at Sir Fazal-e-Hussain Reading Room of GCU. A four member team led by Mr. Hassan Khan, Education UK Manager, British Council Lahore visited the University and provided information of educational opportunities in the UK, admission procedures, scholarships and visa requirements to undergraduate and postgraduate students of the varsity. Students and faculty members of GCU participated in the activities of educational counseling day enthusiastically. Ms. Afshan Butt, student counselor and Mr. Waqar Ahmed, Placement Officer coordinated with the team. Later, Mr. Hassan Khan, accompanied by Director, Academic Planning and External Links called on the Vice Chancellor Prof. Khalid Aftab in his office. The Vice Chancellor emphasized on the need of strengthening academic collaboration with the universities in the UK through the British Council.
