Government College University Lahore organized a special lecture on Urban Development
LAHORE: The Mahbub-ul-Haq Economics Society of the Government College University Lahore organized a special lecture on Urban Development at PG Seminar Room of GCU. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Nasir Javed Project Director Urban Unit Planning & Development Department Govt. of Punjab. While addressing the students, he said that without proper planning it's difficult to promote urbanization in the country. He said we are focusing on structural development and converting villages to cities but at the same time we must also protecting the culture of that area. He said that the experience of the developed economics show that urbanization and economic growth are co-related with each others and Pakistan must ensure proper urban planning to achieve rapid economic growth.
