Research team discuss collaboration with University of Veterinary Lahore

LAHORE (APP): A 25-member research team from various city's hospitals led by Prof. Dr. Haroon Rashid, Head of Psychiatry Department of Fatima Jinnah Medical College and Executive Director Fountain House, met with University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) VC Prof Dr Muhammad Nawaz here Thursday. Both sides discussed collaboration in Molecular Genetic studies on different neurological disorders like Epilepsy, Dementia, Alzheimer, Parkinson, Bipolar Disorders, Mental Retardation, etc. The vice-chancellor gave a detailed presentation about the academic, research and development activities of the University. Later, Department of Molecular Biology and biotechnology Chairman Prof Dr Masroor Ellahi Babar gave a detailed briefing on the nature of work, number of research projects, equipment and facilities and available expertise at his department to conduct cutting-edge research in molecular biology and genetics in human and livestock species. The research work carried out at Biocquirvalence Study Centre and the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences was also discussed in the meeting.
