B.A. Educational Planning and Development (4 Years Program )
This four year degree program offers a wide range of courses designed to meet the need of students intending to pursue careers in the field of educational planning, development and management, educational research and development, teaching, teacher education, curriculum development, and related professions
* Objectives
The programme will provide students:
1. an understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, management, Philosophy of Education and Sociology of Education
2. knowledge of basic concepts of planning, development and policy formulation
3. economic concepts used in the field of economics of education, efficiency, equity and use of economic arguments for policy interventions
4. the competence to be effective teachers equipped with child development techniques and educational psychology and counseling knowledge
5. knowledge and understanding of human development theories, and other economic issues needed to value education
6. statistical and econometric knowledge and skills to conduct an effective evaluation
7. the ability to research topics and prepare written assignments
8. the potential to continue with advanced study
