Peshawar, Bannu boards declare SSC exam results
Peshawar :June 22: The girl students clinched the top three positions in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar.
The results were announced at a ceremony here. The top position-holder students were awarded cash prizes and commendation certificates. BISE Peshawar Chairman Dr Mohammad Shafi was the chief guest on the occasion.

The controller examination declared the result. According to him, a total of 70,339 students appeared in the examination of whom 56,247 were declared successful with a passing percentage of 79.97.

As many as 60,185 candidates appeared in the examination as regular students including 41,288 boys and 18,897 girls. Among the regular male students 34,525 passed the examination with the passing percentage of 83.62 and 16,418 girls emerged successful with passing percentage of 86.88. Moreover, 7,889 male students attempted the examination in private capacity. Some 3,974 among them qualified the examination with a percentage of 50. At least 2,173 female candidates appeared as private students. Of whom 1,281 passed the examination with a passing percentage of 58.95.

In Science Group, a total of 48,297 students appeared of whom 42,423 were declared successful with a percentage of 87.84. In Arts Group, 21,950 students appeared. Some 13,775 passed the examination with a percentage of 62.76. Alisha Gulalai Amjad of Frontier Youth Academy Hayatabad topped the board by obtaining 1042 out of the total 1100 marks. She was followed by Aleeza Gul, a student of Peshawar Model School, Charsadda branch, who scored 1039 marks and Maria Maqsood of the same school with 1038 marks to stand second and third respectively.

 In Humanities Group, Abdul Basit of Usmaina Children Academy, Nauthia Jadeed Peshawar secured 952 marks and clinched the first position. Nadia Khan of Agricultural University Public School and College Peshawar and Mahnoor Khurshid of Peshawar Public School (Girls) Hayatabad Peshawar secured second and third positions by obtaining 938 and 936 marks respectively.

Alisha Gulalai was excited at bagging the top position in the board. She attributed her success to the support and prayers of her parents and her own hard work. She also praised her teachers and school, which played a role in her success. She pledged to maintain her position in the future.

In his speech, Dr Muhammad Shafi Afridi congratulated all position-holders and their parents on their outstanding performance. He urged the students to focus on their studies in the future as well.

Our correspondent in Bannu adds: Boy students outshined girls by securing 1st position in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Bannu.

Haider Zaman, controller of examinations, announced Secondary School Certificate (SCC) examination session 2015-16 results at a ceremony at the BISE Bannu complex on Tuesday.

In the science group, Muhammad Ibrar of the Faiz Model School, Lakki Marwat, got 1st position by securing 1036 marks. In humanity group, girl student of the Bazaar Ahmad Khan School, Sana Gul Bibi clinched 1st position by getting 881 marks.

A total of 45889 students of both the arts and science groups appeared in the Class-9 and 10 examinations where 34317 candidates (75 percent) were declared successful. The position holder students were given cash prizes and awards on the occasion.The news.
