Students hold ‘Solidarity March’ in Quetta
QUETTA:03 December: Members of various students’ organisations across the city on Friday took to streets to stage Students Solidarity March for restoration of students’ unions and political activities in universities.

Holding placards and chanting slogans, the students marched on streets of the provincial capital.

It was highlighted that “from past 35 years,” students’ organisations and political activities are banned in country’s varsities and colleges, which has been causing “fearful environment”. They demanded of the authorities’ concerned to ensure freedom of speech and political activities in universities.
They accused Balochistan governor of “concealing the real causes” of recent video scandal in University of Balochistan. They alleged that the governor banned political activities and gatherings in the varsity “in order to save the culprits, who harassed female students”.
