Rules and regulations

Attendance:
•   Students must attend classes regularly.
•   If absent for 6 consecutive days, any student can be expelled from the College. In case of expulsion, the student has to apply for re-admission with 15 days time. If the student does not apply for re-admission, he will have to forego the right of re-admission. Once granted re-admission and the students is expelled from the college, the student will have 15 days to apply for re-admission for the second time, after which he will never be granted re-admission in any case.
•   In order to pass any subject, student has to have at lease 80% attendance in classes; otherwise, the student will be considered failed.
•   The Principal can give concession of another 10% attendance if the student has been absent because of sickness or some other critical reason.
•   Even in case of absence or leave, the student has to complete his session work.
•   If the students fails to appear in the exam for any reason, he will be considered failed.
•   Any student whose attendance is short of 80% can sit in the supplementary examination after completing his attendance according to the predefined regulations of the College.
•   All boards of Technical Education in Pakistan are attached on annual basis according to the reviewed DAE laws. Such laws will be observed.

Leave:
•   Any student who remains absent from classes because of sickness or any other critical reason, should approve his leave regularly.
•   The tutor can approve leave of up to three days.
•   Leave for more than three and seven or less days can be approved by the concerned departments if recommended by the tutor.
•   Leave of any more than seven days can be approved the Principal only.
•   For medical leave, the student has to provide medical certificate.
•   If the leave is approved, the student will be required to complete his class / Home / Lab work.
•   In case of absence, a student can be fined 10 rupee fine. Absence of one period is considered equivalent to absence of a day.
•   On absence from a test, the tutor can fine any higher amount.

Examination:
All rules & regulations promulgated by the Punjab Board of Technical Education are strictly observed by all departments. All boards of technical education are attached to one another according to the reviewed DAE laws.
Observance of Rules:
All students of the college are expected to meet the code of conduct during their student life.

Code of Conduct:

 •   Obey the orders of administration, Good Behavior and understand the rights of other students.
•   Respect the teachers and honest and polite attitude towards one another.
•   Look after the property of the college and one another' possessions.
•   Respectful behavior towards others.
•   Feel pride in handwork. Pay full attention to studies and never create problem for any mate.

Discipline:
•   If any student does not comply with the code of conduct, misuses the leniency shown to him; or is involved in any activity which can lead other astray; or shows immoral character, we consider it necessary to take action him in order to maintain the discipline.
•   Such an action can be taken under the following conditions.
•   Violating any rules of the college, which are enforced time to time; creating any sort of anarchy or induce others to do so; arranging any meeting or procession without prior permission.
•   Using any illegitimate means during examination.
•   Immoral behavior, carrying firearms (with or without license) in the premises of the college.
•   Absence from college for a long time.
•   Attempting to hurdle studies at college or the administrative matters of college; or inducing students to do any sort of illegal or immoral activity.
•   Writing vulgar statements in toilets.
•   Participating in any unhealthy activity.
•   Staying at the college hostel without permission of administration.
•   Letting any outsider to stay at hostel's room without the permission of administration.
•   If found guilty in violating the discipline in any of the above mentioned ways; the Principal has the authority to take following action depending on the charge.

Penalties / Corrective Actions

•   Fine imposed by the principal depending on the seriousness of the charge on the student.
•   Suspension which can be for a period of two weeks or more. Suspended students may also not be allowed sit ion the exam of stay at hostel room.
•   The student can be put under observation for as long as six months, during which if the student does not change his attitude positively, he can be struck off from the college.
•   If the charge is proved, the student can be expelled from the college on temporary / permanent basis. Such student is not privileged to appear in the examination and will lose at least on year of education as he cannot appear in the board's examinations. The time of suspension would start from the time when the charge was proved. A temporarily suspended student can apply for re-admission in the new academic year, once the time period of the penalty is complete, but it depends on the administration to allow the admission or not. Neither the student's name will be in the college roll call during the time of suspension, nor will any dues from him, be acceptable.
•   The students in the category of expulsion and re-selection cannot get admission in any college, two years from the date of expulsion.
•   Even after that, the admission can only be granted on the recommendation of District Manager, Toyota.
•   All incidents of expulsion and re-selection are reported to the District Manager Toyota. If the penalty is revised, it would be informed to the student.
•   Only the Principal, with the consent of the College Council, can make any expulsion / re-selection or any other penalty.
Note: - The Principal is the ultimate authority to explain and interpret all rules and regulation made for the discipline of the college.

Rules of the Library

Rules of the Library

•   Any book can be issued to a student only if he is carrying the ID card.
•   The library card is nontransferable. If it is damaged, Rs 5, and if it is misplaced, Rs 25 will be the penalty to get a new one.
•   Student will be responsible for the book issue to him. Tearing of any pages, any marks of pen/ink or damaging the binding of the book could mean fine for the student.
•   Any book will be issued for 14 fays only. If not returned on time, the student will be fined at Rs 1 per day.
•   Any student will be issued maximum of two books at any time.
•   For books in limited number, student who first requests will be issued the book.
•   Reference books are not issued and can only be studied in the library.
•   If the student has lost the book, he will have to buy a new one for the library and pay 10% of the price as fine. If the book is not available in the market, the student will have to pay 200% of its market value as fine.
•   Students of the third year are required to return the issued books before the final examination.
•   If any student ahs lost any issued book, he will not be issued any other book until he has paid the fine or provided a new book to the library.
•   Student should check the book upon issuance and inform the librarian. Any problems reported later will not be considered.
•   Newspapers are magazines at the library are present to be studied by the student. If any student harms newspaper / magazine, he will have pay the price of the newspaper / magazine and pay fine, whatever decided by the Principal.
•   Students who harm any of the reference books will be not be allowed to access the reference section and will have to pay fine, whatever decided by the Principal.

Rules of the Hostel

Rules of the Hostel:

Students having accommodation at the hostel must follow the following rules; else, they can be expelled, imposed fine or any other penalty.
•   According to the directions of the Zonal Manager Toyota, all students must take their food from the hostel mess or take permission for arranging it from outside; else, their allotment can be cancelled.
•   Seats will be allotted to students by the Warden and the Admission Committee, subjected to their convenience.
•   During summer all students must be in their rooms by 9 pm, and 7 pm during winter, and then the roll will be called. 9 pm to 11 pm in winter and 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm in summer is decided as study time.
•   Students who want to go on leave must hand their possession to the warden and pay their hostel dues.
•   Students who are often absent form the classes can be expelled from the hostel.
•   Without any decent reason, no one can stay out of hostel at night; otherwise, they will be fine Rs. 20.
•   Father / Guardian of any student can stay only in the guest room of the hostel with the permission of the warden; otherwise, the student can be fined or even expelled form the hostel.
•   Students of other hostels or any other person from the student's village / town are not considered as guests and are not allowed to stay at hostel.
•   Immoral activities – gambling, alcohol and drugs included; are prohibited and the student, if found guilty, will be expelled. Penalty imposed by the College for violating discipline will be separate.
•   No student is allowed to use heather or make any adjustments to the electrification of room. Administration is not responsible for any possible loss and fine can be imposed for using heater.
•   Hostel warden/ Chief Warden/ Principal of the college can inspect the room of any student at any time.
•   Students come to college for studying, not to participate in any disturbance. Possessing any firearm is prohibited and, if find guilty, the student will be immediately expelled from the hostel.

Common Room

Common Room:

•   Common room is open for students 3 pm to 7 pm during summer and 3 pm to 9 pm during winter.
•   TV hall is open for students 4 pm to 9 pm during summer and 4pm to 7:30 pm during winter. Any extension of timings is subject to the warden's permission.
•   On Sundays and holidays, common room remains open till 9 pm.
•   It is prohibited to take anything from common room like newspaper or magazine.
•   Any student cannot stay in the hostel without paying the mess / common room charges unless the student has been given concession for being needy.
•   Any student will to get accommodation in the hostel should pay the hostel security / mess advance at the time of admission.
•   Any student will to get accommodation in the hostel should submit the proper form with the admission form.
•   All mess members should pay their mess bill by the 10 th of the month, after which the student will be charge fine at Rs. 1 per day. Defaulters of one month will lose their allotment in hostel.
•   All students should look after the furniture, building, electrification and other property of the hostel. If student is found guilty of damaging any such thing, he will be fined or even expelled from the hostel.
•   Students should not keep any big amount or any precious possession. The administration is not responsible for any theft.
•   All Students should vacate the hostel during vacations.
•   Any Student should not stay at the hostel after final examination.
•   All students should participate in the exercise, in the morning and in the sports, in the evening.
•   The warden of the hostel has got the authority to take any action to ensure observance of hostel discipline.
•   The Principal is the ultimate authority to explain and interpret all rules and regulation made for the discipline of the college.

Hostel Administration

Hostel Administration:

Following bodies / people will help the warden to run the administration of the hostel.
General Prefect (Nominated by the warden) has duties of:
•   Assisting the warden in the administrative routines.
•   Allotting the rooms with the consent of the hostel warden.
•   Forwarding students' application to the warden.
•   Attendance of the students and their absence record.
•   Assisting in repair work.
