BISE Lahore Intermediate Result 2013
Lahore, Sept 23: Autonomous educational institutions clinched top positions in the Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education annual examination 2013, announced by the BISE chairman here on Sunday.
The overall first position went to Government College University's pre-engineering student Asad Mumtaz (Roll No 529696) who secured 1,047 marks out of 1,100. The second position was shared by the same institution's Hafiz Usama Tanveer (Roll No 530887) and Government Kinnaird College for Women's Khadija Nadeem (Roll No 50138). They scored 1,038 each.
The third position was shared by Kinnaird College's Hadia Tahir (Roll No 505038) and Punjab College for Women's (Muslim Town) Ayesha Sikandar Baig (Roll No 50539) as they got 1,037 marks each.

Asad, a resident of Kot Lakhpat area who had done O-Level and later switched to Pakistani examination system, said his parents wished that any of their offspring should bring honours to the family by securing a position in exams. He said he had done his best to materialise the dreams of his parents who were joyous over his success. However, their celebrations were dampened by the Peshawar blasts.

Hafiz Usama was expecting that he would get some position as he had worked very hard. And he did it.

Khadija Nadeem had 'tradition' of getting positions since primary school. So a ray of hope had been beaming in her heart all the time since she appeared in the intermediate exams.

Both Hadia and Ayesha said they were not expecting to get honours. To be honest, said Hadia, she had calculated to bag around 1,020 marks. Not hoping to get any position, she did not bother to watch the Board authorities' press conference on TV. She was visiting a classmate when she received a call from her father giving her the news of her life.

Ayesha used to underestimate her talent when she would see others (class-fellows) working even harder.

In the Pre-Medical (Girls) Group, the first position went to Khadija Nadeem, the second was shared by Hadia Tahir and Ayesha Sikandar Baig, while the third was clinched by Sania Ashfaq (Roll No 500209) of the Punjab College for Girls, Kasur, with 1,035 marks.
