Govt to Advertise Vacant Posts of VCs
Karachi :05 October : Sindh government has decided to advertise the vacant posts of vice chancellors (VCs) in universities, in order to ensure transparency manner, and improve the environment and standard of higher education in the province. Modalities for the same were discussed in a high-level meeting held at the CM House on Friday, under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah. It was decided that appointment of VCs would purely be made on merit, for which the government would float advertisements in newspapers to invite competent candidates. The meeting also discussed to evolve a strategy to improve the standards of education in Sindh. Principal Secretary to CM Naveed Kamran Baloch, Special Secretary Education Nazir Jamali, Secretary Implementation Riaz Memon, Advocate General Sindh Barrister Khalid Javed, and other officers attended the meeting.Daily Times.
