40 tribal students to get free education In Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The government is keenly interested in promotion of quality education in FATA and a scheme has been initiated to provide free education to 40 talented tribal students in prestigious educational institutions of the country. The students will be selected for admission in premier educational institutions on the basis of merit through ETEA test. In order to ensure transparency in the selection of the students the government has decided that the application forms for Entry Test will be collected at the Agency level and brought to ETEA office Peshawar. The participants in ETEA test would be issued digitally printed role number cards with scanned pictures and a Barcode slip. The Barcode would be readable exclusively by scanner and the picture and other antecedents of the candidates appearing in the test would be verified at the entrance of the examination hall. It has also been decided that date of birth given in from B registered with NADRA will be acceptable for age calculation with no exceptions and the students found involved in cheating or impersonation would be disqualified from eligibility to any FATA scholarship in future. The papers of the students would be checked vide computer and result declared within 24 hours. All these steps are designed to ensure transparency in the selection of the students.
