Workshop on health, hygiene issues at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) from today

Lahore: The Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) is holding a four-day international training workshop on "Water, Women and Hygiene" in collaboration with the Civil and Environmental Geomantic Engineering Department of University College London, from August 26 to 29.

According to a press release, the objective of the workshop is to discuss health issues and women's role in hygiene in the global and national perspective.

LCWU Vice Chancellor Dr Bushra Mateen will chair the inaugural session and will highlight the main theme of the workshop.

Dr Sarah Bell, University of London representative, will also address the inaugural session. Dr Kauser Jamal Cheema, the dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences will specifically discuss plans for future work on drinking water quality, sanitation and public health in LCWU. Daily Times
