Govt to Ensure Regular Classes at Kohistan College
Mansehra : September 02: The Qaumi Islahi Committee of Kohistan on Saturday asked the local people to send their children to the Government Degree College Pattan as the government has decided to hold regular classes there.
MNA Sarzameen Khan, advisor to chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Abdul Haq Khan, principal of Government Degree College Pattan Zubair Shah and local elders attended the jirga.“The provincial government has decided to appoint teachers and other staffers at the college so that regular classes could start,” Abdul Haq told the jirga. He said the college was established five years ago, but the teachers and other staffers were getting salaries without discharging duty.
The jirga members criticised the teachers for drawing salaries without performing duty. “Don’t send your children to the colleges in Mansehra and Abbottabad. Get them admitted here. I assure you that now this college will hold regular classes from September 2,” Abdul Haq said.

Speaking on the occasion, Zubair Shah said that he has been recently posted at the college to hold regular classes. “In the past, a small number of students took admission to the college,” he said.
