Frontier College for Women and Government Girls College Charsadda advance in Inter-College Girls Table Tennis
PESHAWAR, (APP): Frontier College for Women and Government Girls College Charsadda secured victories against their respectively rivals in the ongoing BISE Inter-College Girls Table Tennis Championship being played at Board premises on Tuesday.
Frontier College for Women team defeated Government Girls Higher Secondary School Chamkani by 3-0 while Government Girls College Charsadda beat Frontier Education Foundation Degree College Nahaqi in straight sets.
In the first match Aysha of FCW beat Sidra in a thrilling five sets battle. The match lasted for one hour. The score was 17-15, 13-11, 11-7, 13-15 and 15-13. Both Aysha and Sidra exhibited classic display of spin serve and attacking game which was largely enjoyed by capacity crowd from different colleges present on this occasion.
In the second singles Alishaba also faced tough resistance against Samina. Samina jotled Alishba by winning the opening set by 11-13. But Alishba after settling down despite losing the opening sets, came back strongly and won three consecutive sets by 11-7, 11-9 and 11-8.
In the last set Taskeen beat Madiha by 3-1, the score was 18-16, 7-11, 11-7, 13-11. Taskeen also played well against Madiha. Madiha has the quality of good services which created panic in the rank of Frontier College spectators. But Taskeen played well by keeping up her nerve intact against Madiha during the match.
In the second match Govt Girls College Charsadda beat FEF Degree College Nahaqi by 3-0. In the first singles Ammara beat Neelam by 3-0, the score was 11-3, 11-7 and 11-6, Nudrat beat Tayaba by 3-0, the score was 11-5, 11-8 and 11-9, Aisha beat Sara by 3-0, the score was 11-8, 11-9, 11-9.
