Insaf Students Federation (ISF), celebrated its first anniversary

PESHAWAR: Insaf Students Federation (ISF), celebrated its first anniversary today since its establishment last year. A group of around 100 students gathered at Pearl Lawn in University Of Peshawar. They were holding placards inscribed with slogans condemning the ongoing military operation in Swat and FATA areas. They chanted slogans in favour of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and the party.

Later the students walked to the Students Teachers Centre near Gardenia Lawn where their leaders addressed the gathering.

They congratulated ISF students on completion of one year since the federation's inception and vowed to carry on the mission of PTI and Chairman Imran Khan. They said ISF's guiding pillars were Justice, Knowledge and Tolerance and therefore they would take part in constructive activities only.
Some speakers sought more support from the parent party, in terms of providing them with ISF related literature, stickers and badges for dissipation amongst students community. Additionally they also requested the higher command of ISF to issue a formal charter, code of conduct and constitution so that they could become familiar with their responsibilities. This would also encourage setting up of a democratically elected structure within the student body. Many students while talking informally to this scribe lamented that it has been one year since its inception but ISF has no official document yet.

Those who spoke on the occasion included, Murad Saeed Provincial President ISF, Arif of UET - Campus President, Shinwari from Khyber Agency, Reps from Islamia College Univ, Agriculture Univ, Khyber Medical College etc.
The speakers hoped that ISF's candidate would win the post of president for the upcoming (Jan 2009) student union election in University of Peshawar.
