M.Sc. Admission Notice For The Entry - 2007

Applications are invited on the prescribed forms for admission to the following Post-Graduate Courses:

1. Electrical Engineering with specializations in : Power Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Control System Engineering

2. Computer Engineering, Computer Science with specializations in : Software Engineering, System Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Networking

3. Mechanical Design Engineering, Thermal Power Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Management, Mechatronics Engineering

4. Structural Engineering, Geo-Technical Engineering, Hydraulics and Irrigation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Building Engineering, Integrated Building Design

5. Chemical Engineering with specializations in : Process Engineering, Industrial Pollution Control Engineering, Bio-Chemical Engineering, Computer Aided Design

6. Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Petroleum & Gas Engineering, Mining Engineering, Polymer & Process Engineering

7. City & Regional Planning

8. Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
ONLY THOSE CANDIDATES CAN APPLY WHO HAVE PASSED THEIR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE IN RELEVANT DISCIPLINE BY SECURING ATLEAST 60% MARKS OR CGPA = 3 FROM A RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY/INSTITUTE. FOR ADMISSION TO ALL PROGRAMS EXCEPT THOSE AT SERIAL NO. 8, CANDIDATE HAS TO PASS GAT/GRE GENERAL TEST BY NTS/ETS WITH A MINIMUM SCORE OF 50. FOR PROGRAMS AT SERIAL NO. 8, THE CANDIDATE HAS TO PASS B.Sc./B.A.Sc. BY SECURING A MINIMUM OF 60% MARKS BOTH IN DEGREE AND RELEVANT SUBJECT.

The details of relevant undergraduate disciplines and other eligibility criteria applicable to individual programs/courses are available in Prospectus. The applicants shall be required to appear in Interview (All Programs) and test (Programs at Serial No. 8 only) at respective departments as given in Prospectus.

AVAILABILITY OF PROSPECTUS
The Prospectus and prescribed admission forms will be available from Admission Office on payment of Rs. 300/- from 21-07-07 onward. The Prospectus and forms can also be downloaded from the University website : www.uet.edu.pk. A processing fee of Rs. 300/- should be submitted along-with downloaded forms.

LAST DATE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS
Application on the prescribed forms available in the Post-Graduate Prospectus along-with all supporting documents must reach the CONVENOR, ADMISSION COMMITTEE by 11-08-07 up to 04:00 P.M. Applications received after the due date, even if posted earlier shall not be accepted. Incomplete applications shall be rejected. The candidates waiting for their result may also apply, however they are required to submit the result before the finalization of the admission by the University.
