Training course for Educators at Govt In-Service Training College
Lahore: July 03: PROVINCIAL Minister for Education and Youth Affairs Punjab Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has stressed administrations of various educational institutions for vocational training to special children to nominate some special children from every institution having borderline disability so that they could be included in the inclusive education system along with the normal students.
According to a handout issued on Tuesday, the minister said this while addressing a briefing session with the office-bearers of the Rising Sun Education and Welfare Society Lahore.
The minister welcomed the establishment of a model school by the society in Lahore for which a plot of one kanal had been donated by PML-N leader Tahir Javed. He said that inclusive education had proved more effective all over the world. The minister directed Chief Executive of Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) to collaborate with the Rising Sun Welfare Society in establishing Inclusive Education System in different vocational training institutes working in Bahawalpur, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh and Bahawalnagar. The briefing session was told that a shelter home and a shelter workshop for special children having low intellectual capabilities were under construction on the canal bank in Lahore near Dental College. A plot having four kanals area has been donated to Rising Sun Welfare Society for this purpose by another philanthropist of Lahore.
parks for special persons: Provincial Minister for Special Education Asif Saeed Manais has said that quality education of international standard is being provided to special children so that they can become useful citizens of the society.
He was addressing a certificate distribution ceremony as chief guest at the conclusion of a 23-day training course for 73 Educators at Government In-Service Training College Garden Town Lahore. The ceremony was arranged by Special Education Department.
Provincial Secretary Special Education Dr. Sajid Yousfani, Director Special Education Muhammad Fazil Cheema, Principal Abdul Sattar, educators and media-men were present.

 

Provincial Minister Asif Saeed Manais congratulated the educators on successful completion of the training and said that the objective of holding training course for educators was to enable special children especially (slow learners) to study at the normal educational institutions after completion of their primary education at special centres.

 

He said the Chief Minister Punjab had issued clear instructions for the welfare of special children, provision of funds and facilities of international standard education to them. He said the Punjab government was establishing special family parks for special children and special persons, and this process would be started from divisional headquarters.The news.
