NWFP Chief Minister  approves land for medical college

PESHAWAR: NWFP Chief Minister Ameer Haidar Hoti has approved 125 acres of land in Mauza Palatoo - the property of Abdul Wali Khan University and Agriculture University Campus - for Bacha Khan Medical College, Mardan.

This was discussed in a meeting chaired by the chief minister at his office here Saturday. The government has constituted a committee comprising senior doctors to select the design for the medical college, which will start admissions at the end of this year like other medical colleges.

The meeting reviewed the pace of development work on Bacha Khan Medical College, Mardan Children Hospital and District Headquarters Hospital and took various decisions in this regard. MPAs, Mardan District Nazim Himayatullah Mayar, Chief Minister Coordinating Committee Chairman Engineer Abbas, Additional Chief Secretary Ghulam Dastageer Ali, administrative secretaries of Finance, Health, Works & Services Department, Commissioner and DCO of Mardan, medical superintendents of DHQ hospital and Children Hospital attended the meeting.
