BISE Peshawar SSC results
Tuesday, June 16, 2009 :PESHAWAR: The boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar Monday announced results of the secondary school certificate (SSC) examination.
A total of 46,237 students appeared in the Peshawar BISE SSC exams of whom 37,101 qualified it with a pass percentage of 80.24. The result was declared at an award giving ceremony for the position holders, who, besides commendation certificates, were also awarded a cash prize of Rs15,000, 10,000 and 5,000 for the first, second and third positions, respectively.
Nayab Karim Khan topped the Science Group by obtaining 963 out of 1,100 marks and was awarded Rs15,000. Farhatullah Khan followed her with 960 and Esha Khan Khattak with 957. Naureen Saeed topped the Humanities Group by securing 861 marks followed by Zuhra Batool with 860 marks. Sidra Khan stood third. The three were given away the prizes.
Speaking on the occasion, Nasir Ali, controller examination said: “We are proud of the students that this year result of SSC examination has shown a great improvement compared to the previous year”.
