Frontier Homeopathic Medical College volunteers distribute ration

PESHAWAR:27 April: The Frontier Homeopathic Medical College (FHMC) has started distributing ration packages among the poor and needy in the villages located near provincial capital.

A press release 300 food packages have already been distributed and donations are being collected to make and distribute another 200 during the holy month of Ramazan. The students and faculty of the FHMC volunteered to collect donations and make the packages, identify villages and the deserving families and arrange the distribution of food rations.

The press release said the FHMC volunteers also gave Arsenic 30 as preventive medicines to the families receiving the food rations at their doorsteps in the villages. It added that the college Principal Madam Ain, Dr Pervaiz, who is the incharge of the FHMC out-patients department, Dr Mudassir, Dr Fakher Alam and Mr Amin and Mr Saad led the team of volunteers involved in the process. According to the press release, Sheharyar Khan managed the finance operations. It said young Canadians of Pakistani origin who care for their homeland generously contributed and collected money for the purchase of the food rations. The college also thanked retired General Ghulam Haider for his valuable financial for this noble cause. Describing the FHMC volunteers as heroes, the press release said they also volunteered to take care of the needs of the affectees during the 2005 earthquake and the 2010 floods in Pakistan.

It said that during the Swat operation in early 2009 when over two million people were displaced due to the militancy and military action, the FHMC was assigned the task to move and distribute the logistics worth more a billion rupees.
