Lahore:July 18: POSITION holder Pakistani students, who are on a study tour of Europe on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, visited Stockholm University.
According to a handout issued on Wednesday, senior staff members of Stockholm University and Pakistani boy and girl students, studying at the university, gave a warm welcome to the visiting students. They visited different sections of the university as well as closely observed the teaching process. Senior teachers of the university, while informing Pakistani boy and girl students about the academic and extracurricular activities, told that Stockholm University, which was established in 1868, is at the 81st position among the leading universities of the world. They said that there are 65,000 students in the university who are carrying out research work in different fields of science and four students of the university won noble prize.
They informed that 200 study and 76 master programmes are being conducted at the university while the academic session of bachelor degree is of three years. They further said that one and two-year master programmes whereas PhD is completed with two years academic session. The teachers and experts of the university were of the view that the visit of Pakistani position holders of the university will prove to be very fruitful for them.
Meanwhile, position holder Pakistani boy and girl students visited Stockholm’s Townhall where the ceremony in honor of noble laureates is held. A comprehensive briefing was given to position holder students on the occasion.The news.
