Appreciation Certificates for 21 Girl Students
Lahore : October 01: A UAE-based HR Consulting Firm has given “Certificates of Appreciation” to 21 female students of various low-cost private schools attached with the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF).
These students have secured more than 90 percent marks in their matriculation exam, 2013.According to a handout issued here in this regard, a colourful ceremony was held at PEF-regional office on Monday to award certificates to the students.
PEF chairman Raja Anwar was the chief guest. Besides, students, parents and heads of partner schools also attended the function. Addressing the function, PEF chairman Raja Anwar said the Foundation was giving top priority to the promotion of girls’ education in the indigent communities. “We believe that a girl student is the best agent of change in our society; therefore, PEF has encouraged the poor families to send their girls to partner schools where their educational expenses are borne by the foundation.”
He claimed that, because of our best efforts and substantiated support given in shape of monthly fee and text books, girls’ ratio was 52 percent in 1.4 million PEF beneficiary students enrolled in 3300 partner schools in Punjab.
