Country cannot progress without women participation VC Hazara University

MANSEHRA: VC Hazara University Dr Ihsan has said that without the strong participation of the women in the important issues of national interests, a country could not put on the way to prosperity and development. "Europe and American sustained the unmatched prosperity and growth because of the participation of the women in every spree, if Pakistan wants to achieve the prosperity and growth, it should include the women in every field as it did in Army and Aviation fields," he said while speaking at 27th annual convocation of government girls degree college Abbottabad on Tuesday.

 A press released issued by the University here said that VC went on to say that in the modern World the importance of education for women has multiplied their role in the formation of a well-equipped and healthy society. Mr Khan said that only way for our restoration of past prestigious position among the comity of nations is to get educated our female lot. During the last 03-year, he added that Hazara University had made a wonderful progress as University developed linkages with the foreign universities in the modern disciplines of Science and Technology and 62 PhDs were appointed in the various fields. He added that work on the various developmental projects worth Rs billion were in progress at University, and on completion it would be included in the top universities of the country. He said that despite the fact, the University has very limited resources it has established two campuses at Havelian and Haripur for fulfilling its mission of providing hi-th education at the doorsteps of the students of the area. Moreover, since 2004, Higher Education Commission, Islamabad has not increased university's grant but rather recently it has deducted a notable amount of its existing grant, which has put the university in a very difficult financial situation. Speaking on the occasion Principal of the collage Rasheeda Khatoon thanked the university management for their support and said that college was playing an important role for the education of the girls students of district.
